WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW!
Florida Resource Center has provided supportive services to
12,468 victims of domestic violence. The Center receives approximately 50 calls per week from victims with an average of 2,600 calls per year. We estimate twice as many victims (5,200) would like to call for assistance, but are too afraid. Of the 50 calls received per week from victims, 90% are from the northern Palm Beach County area. In Palm Beach County, there are as many as 2,400 domestic violence cases at any given time waiting to be adjudicated.

In our county, police are averaging 285 domestic violence arrests a month.
